A Mississippi attorney is facing accusations of attempting to smuggle cigarettes and cellphones into a jail, according to a report by WJTV News. But the best bit of this story is the mugshot (see below).
Daniel Sidney Dale has been charged with two counts of conspiracy and three counts of introducing contraband into a correctional facility.
Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones, who announced the arrest, emphasized that Dale was entrusted with safeguarding the constitutional rights of arrested suspects, but he betrayed that trust.
Photos released by the Sheriff's department depict a table piled with cigarettes, cellphones, and other contraband alongside Dale, looking dishevelled and wide-eyed in a mugshot that ranks among the most striking of the 21st century.
